I am a visual artist currently living in Redmond Oregon, though i regularly visit the studio. I draw predominantly with micron pens and occasionally ballpoint and (especially charcoal) pencils. The specific content or style of my art is fairly diverse, but my work most prominently involves a complex iconography of signs and images developed by a process of accretion, intuition and creative incorporation of external symbols and imagery. First and foremost i intend to express a sense of displaced familiarity, a sense of the known existing within the unknown or vice versa. I have described much of my art as “psychic photography”, insofar as i’m trying to capture what i see as “shapes inside of objects and places” (or, in some cases, coming instead from the point of intersection of different ones). Another aspect of my art is that of monsters and animate beings as expressive figures and polyvalent symbols (means to explore both the inner worlds of the human and the potentialities and unknown reaches of the outer worlds). My art is heavily influenced by my inexplicable and definite draw to certain images, themes and ideas, beyond any deeper conceptual rationale or justification. The notion of the otherwise-inexpressible sensation is one that strongly interests me, as is that of polyvalent or ambiguous iconography in a broad sense. My artwork takes place in different worlds, but uses a common language to express them. 

I am also a worldbuilder, poet, fiction author, and songwriter, and, additionally, an amateur singer, dancer and pianist. I’m interested in everything, and everything has been always interested in me. I believe that i want the world to make me its lover. I affirm the world completely. I cannot affirm the world completely.
