Davis Wohlford’s solo exhibition, Carnival of Animals is on view in Cargo’s enchanting exhibition space. Using his signature painted collage technique, Davis transforms animals from all over the globe into delightfully imperfect colorful patternscapes constructed through real and imagined animal markings and absracted body positions. Cargo’s vibrant and consuming environment provides the perfect home for these paintings, which at the same time camouflage and make noise among the vibrant artistry that surrounds them.
