Featured Artist
James Enos (b. 1987) is a prolific mixed-media writer and illustrator renowned for his large-scale, self-constructed books that take place within his imaginative world, the Kid Stuff Universe. Each book is a standalone artwork, meticulously designed and executed by Enos from start to finish. His creative process involves binding, researching, writing, and illustrating by hand; some works unfold into panoramic sections stretching up to 30 feet. Each story begins as a typewritten manuscript and develops chronologically through richly detailed drawings.
Enos’s books are more than narratives; they are immersive, tactile experiences that blend personal memories with pop culture influences from the late 1980s and early 1990s. His work invites readers into a world that blurs the boundaries between art, literature, and nostalgia, where storytelling itself becomes a visual and physical act.
